Just another day at the office. This is a flashover chamber. In essence a shipping container with a 50 gallon barrel and a bunch of plywood to simulate walls. We all tromp in there with our gear and our baked potato covered helmets(without the covering our helmets would melt to our noggins). We are there to experience what a flashover is like. Our gear is so good that if we are not careful we could get in too deep in a flashover environment(this is bad even with our gear). We are taught once we see the signs of a flashover we have mere seconds to react. Oh, a flashover is when all contents in a room reach the point of ignition simultaneously. This is a very bad situation in a real fire but quite fun in a controlled environment.

This is the crew tackling the Sharkstooth trail in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. Tremendous trip with stunning views all around. We were sitting around 9,000 ft. right about here and the boys were troopers. This was a trip that I started a couple years back. Each summer I will take one of my boys for a father and son outing. This trip was with Jacob my 9 year old. We loved Southern Colorado. We went up and joined Sherrie's family reunion. I guess you could call me and my boys the reunion crashers. My other boys joined us for the last few days of the trip. These pictures are from our adventures. I will add some more photos of the other trips in another blog.

We love to Hang around the house on Saturday's and play games. Jacob is trying to learn how to lose, its a hard thing when he is such a sweet boy. I remember when I was little, I lost a game and told my family that I was running away. I only made it down the drive way. Love Sherrie

I've been home schooling my Jacob. Let me tell you he has so many questions. It's hard to answer them all. So I'm learning alot about patience. It is a skill. Plus taking care of Blaze and a 3 year old. I hope he learns something. At least he knows I don't sit all day and watch T.V. Yes they still have their Pj's on. Just until noon. McKenzie is the girl I watch. She is easy going and fun.

Just got back from a week long trip to the wonderful wolrd of Disney. We had so much fun. Riley and Jacob got to experience their first roller coaster ride, what fun! Enjoyed all the food and not worring about how much it cost. The boys enjoyed all the shows. Lots of fun!!!
